Self introduction

How to give self intro at an interview

Hi! This is/my name is/ I amYash kumar , and I am from Bihar where the first university of the world, Nalanda University was constituted. Presently, I am pursuing my engineering in mechanical from SIT, Aurangabad, under Aryabhatta Knowledge University. I am proud to be the son/daughter of/ My father's name is/ Mr Ramesh Kumar who is an engineer. My mother, Mrs Annu Devi, is a home-maker who groomed me into a person. As far as my academic background is concerned, I did my 10th from DAV, Public School, Patna in 2010 with 72% marks and then 12th in science in 2012 with 74% marks. Now, I want to establish myself as a successful engineer being a key player in my domain. Listening to music and visiting informative websites are my hobbies. My strength is my imagination and a strong willingness to make it real. I love travelling and indian cuisine. My weakness is that I am quite shy but I have started going out and getting together with people, and thus I am getting extrovert gradually.

Please note:

1. Do not include details about family background until asked to do so

2. Give more information about your personality and skills relevent to the post you are applying for

3. Your intro should be 2-3 minutes long

4. Do not hesitate to talk about your weaknesses but do mention the steps you have taken to overcome them

5. Initiate talks with other interviewees before the interview, this will bring you into flow reducing the stress of the mind that will finally allow you to ace the interview

6. NEVER EVER SAY '' Myself Dinesh'', it's utterly wrong to say this way

7. Never use Present Perfect tense to tell your academic background. Wrong: I have done my 12th in science in 2012. Right: I did my 12th in science in 2012.
