Is AC water fit for drinking

The water outlet from an air conditioner (AC) is not recommended for drinking or consumption. Here's why:

1. Condensate water: The water coming out of the AC is condensate water, which is collected from the air as it cools.

2. Impurities: This water may contain impurities like dust, bacteria, and other contaminants present in the air.

3. Chemicals: Some AC units may have chemical treatments or additives in the cooling system, which could be harmful if ingested.

4. Legionella risk: Stagnant water in AC systems can harbor Legionella bacteria, which can cause Legionnaires' disease.

Though the water may look clean, yet it is not fit for drinking. If you need water for non-potable purposes, like watering plants, pouring into water cooler it might be okay to use the AC outlet water, but ensure it's not contaminated with harmful substances.
